C.A.T TOURNIQUET

The Journal of Trauma's February 2008 supplement endorsed the C-A-T® as the best prehospital tourniquet. Tests by the U.S. Army's Institute of Surgical Research confirmed its 100% effectiveness. Its windlass system and patented free-moving internal band provide true circumferential pressure. Once tightened, bleeding stops and the windlass is locked. A hook and loop retention strap secures it during evacuation. The C-A-T® is the U.S. Army's Official Tourniquet since 2005; its innovations are protected by two patents.
